Daniel Estudante Protásio has a post-doctorate in History from the University of Coimbra, with a study on the historiography and prosopography of the first eighty years of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences (1779-1859). He is an integrated researcher at the History Center of the University of Lisbon, a collaborating researcher at CEIS20 (University of Coimbra), secretary of the History Section of the Lisbon Geographical Society and a researcher at the Joaquim Veríssimo Serrão Research Center in Santarém. In 2016 and 2018, he published two books on the Viscount of Santarém.
